Our Story

A Dream Decades
in the Making

My love affair with Tolkien's work started when I was a young boy watching the animated "Hobbit" movie and has continued to this day. While my wife was pregnant with our first child (who is now 24!), I read the LOTR trilogy to her and she fell in love too.

We also enjoyed B&B Inns and dreamed of building a village of hobbit holes. We are passionate about showing hospitality. Along the way, we learned about earth-covered housing.
